Wolves start fast, win big against Bobcats

The Black Hills’ boys basketball team started its league slate with a win, as the Wolves downed Aberdeen 65-46 on Tuesday.

The Wolves (2-1, 1-0 2A EvCo) jumped out to a massive lead early in the game, outscoring the Bobcats 25-4 in the first quarter to seize control of the game.

The offense continued to play well in the second, which helped prevent the Bobcats from making a dent in the lead before halftime.

Simon Nysted scored a game-high 28 points, while Aberdeen’s Jhacob Quezada led the Bobcats with 24.

Quinton Morrill scored 14 points, while his twin brother Talon added five, as did James Morgan and Jaxsen Beck.

Black Hills is back in action in a non-conference game against Tenino on Friday.
