A Chehalis woman is facing domestic violence charges after she allegedly forced her way into an apartment on Saturday and attacked a man inside.

A witness reported that a man knocked on her apartment door in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street in Chehalis and asked to enter, as he was trying to get away from a woman he was arguing with, according to documents filed in Lewis County Superior Court.

The woman, identified as Krissy L. Killian, 32, had allegedly attempted to strangle him during an argument in a neighboring apartment.

As the witness allowed the man inside and started closing the door, Killian allegedly forced the door open, pushed the witness out of the way, and pursued the man into the bathroom. She then allegedly put the man in a headlock and punched him repeatedly in the head.

The witness called 911 while Killian was allegedly still attacking the man. She was still at the scene when officers arrived.

Responding officers with the Chehalis Police Department noted that Killian and the man were roughly the same height, but Killian weighed more than the man.

The man reported that he only sustained a minor injury to his knee during the incident.

When questioned about the incident, Killian allegedly said that she and the man had gotten into an argument, that man had taken some of her belongings and that they had shoved each other, according to court documents.

She allegedly said that the door to the apartment she followed the man into was open and that no one was in the doorway when she entered.

Killian was arrested and charged with one count each of residential burglary, domestic violence, and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Due to her lack of criminal history, Court Commissioner Neita Cecil released Killian on $20,000 unsecured bail on Monday, meaning she does not have to pay so long as she follows her conditions of release.

Those conditions include having no contact with the victim.

Arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 8.
