Ziply Fiber will celebrate the launch of its new fiber-optic network in Centralia and Chehalis with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, at George Washington Park in Centralia, located at 110 S. Silver St.
During the event, Ziply Fiber representatives will share remarks and present America’s Fastest City certifications to representatives from both Centralia and Chehalis, a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce stated. With the expansion of Ziply Fiber’s network, residents in each city will now have access to some of the fastest household internet speeds available in the nation — up to 50 Gig — according to the company.
Currently, service is available to approximately 500 addresses in Centralia and 1,500 addresses in Chehalis, with construction underway to bring fiber service to another 2,600 addresses in Centralia over the next several months.
Ziply Fiber offers residential plans starting at $35 per month, including WiFi 7 equipment, with no promotional price increases. Available speeds range from 100 Mbps to 50 Gig, providing households with scalable options for streaming, remote work, online learning and gaming, the release stated.
“Access to fast, dependable internet has become essential to how families and businesses operate,” said Harold Zeitz, CEO of Ziply Fiber. “The Centralia and Chehalis communities need reliable connectivity built to handle the demands of what it means to be online today, whether that’s for work, school, running a business or for entertainment. Ziply Fiber is giving these cities the capacity they need today and well into the future.”
