Bud Holland

Bud Holland, Cosmopolis, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia. Bud was born September 26, 1926 in Alexandria, KT.

He attended Centralia High School where he was involved in gymnastics and other sports. At 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard where he served from 1943-1946. After the war he began his career with Ma Bell. He worked for the company for 37 years.

Bud enjoyed an active life of family, golfing, traveling, fishing, cribbage and occasional visits to a casino.

He was preceded in death by Peggy, his beloved wife of 57 years and his mother, Lillian Thompson. He is survived by his two children, Cheryl (Duston) Jensen and Steve Holland, his sister Virginia Adolphsen, grandchildren Nick (Lea), Marcee, and Tyler (Michelle), his sweetheart Bea Caton and her family, brothers-in-law Bob and Mike Phillips, sister-in-law Karen Tuttle, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

His teasing and sense of humor will be missed by his many friends and the family he adored.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
