Trojans Fall to Comets in Sweep

In another defeat, the Pe Ell volleyball team couldn’t keep up with Naselle at home Thursday in a straight-sets loss, 25-15, 25-13, 25-13.

Freshman Sophia Milanowski served 100% for the Trojans with two kills, senior Payton Peterson had a pair of kills and blocks, but the Comets were just too powerful for a young Pe Ell squad.

“We are a small, scrappy team but that didn’t help us tonight,” Trojans coach Eddi Peterson said. “Our three starting freshmen were in shock most of the night seeing how hard those balls were being hit at them.”

The Trojans (2-5, 0-5 1B CVL) play Columbia Adventist next Tuesday on the road.
