The Toledo girls soccer team downed Toutle Lake for its first win of the fall, beating the Ducks 4-1 on the road Saturday morning.

The Ducks held the Riverhawks (1-4-1, 0-1-0 C2BL) scoreless in the first half, but Toledo didn’t even need two minutes in the second to break the deadlock, with Hallie Cournyer making it 1-0 90 seconds out of halftime off an assist by Ryah Stanley.

Two minutes after that, Cournyer returned the favor, setting up Stanley to double the lead.

Zaya Norberg scored in the 65th minute, off an assist from her sister Quyn, and Ava Good capped off the scoring in the 78th.

“In the second half, the girls really started talking, bringing balls wide and crashing the goal,” Toledo coach Courtney Moore said.

Hope Gould finished with six saves for the Riverhawks, all in the first half.

Toledo will jump into C2BL play for good Monday, taking a trip to Adna.
