The Napavine girls soccer team entered their league opener of Wednesday winners of three straight, and the Tigers kept rolling in a 5-1 win over Raymond-South Bend.

“They’re coming together,” Napavine coach John Bates said. “It was a difficult start, but then we got into a groove.”

Jenna Gallagher opened the scoring in the 23rd minute off a pass from Haley Gallagher, and Hayden Kaut made it 2-0 just three minutes later.

The Ravens were able to get on the board seven minutes later, but Hannah Fay pushed the cushion back to two in the final moments of the first half.

Kaut added two more goals in the second half to finish off the hat-trick and the Napavine win.

“They showed a lot of good promise tonight,” Bates said. “It’s all coming together, we’ll see how it goes.”

Bates also pointed out Clara Fay and Maddie Dickinson, saying they played excellent defense on the Napavine back line.

The Tigers (4-2, 1-0 C2BL) will hit the road on Monday to face Winlock.
